Exist Forever is a project, first established in 1998, that helps you create a specialized chat agent carrying your personality and presence — so the people you love can keep connecting with who you are through stories and conversation.

Anyone who wants to leave a living presence for family and friends: parents, grandparents, mentors, partners, or anyone whose stories matter to someone else. No technical background is required.

You set up how your agent should be known — personality, speaking style, life roles, and a short introduction. Then you add stories and memories on your personal page. When you're ready, you invite family with a private link.

Not with live chat yet. Today, people you invite can open a private presence page, read the stories you mark as shared with family, and leave you a message. Conversation with the agent is coming later.

Only what you choose. Shared stories and your agent's introduction appear on their invite link. Stories you keep private stay on your personal page. Invite emails and other invites are never shown to guests.

You do. Your account, agent profile, and memories are stored for your use. We don't sell your stories. Self-hosting remains part of the project's ethos when you want full control of where the software runs.

Sign-in is protected. Family access uses high-entropy secret links you create and can revoke. We avoid storing raw IP addresses for contact and similar forms — only salted digests used for abuse prevention. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Open your personal page, find the invite, and copy the link again — or revoke it and create a new one. Revoking immediately stops access for that link.

Yes. On your personal page you can edit how your agent is identified, personality, speaking style, life roles, values, and introduction anytime.

Creating an account and capturing stories is free on this site. If pricing for hosted extras ever appears, we'll say so clearly — no surprises in the fine print.

An agent reflects the stories and details you share. It isn't a perfect copy of a person, and we don't claim it replaces relationships. The more honest stories you leave, the more useful the presence becomes.
